Meet VIP PT

VIP PT was built for people who want more from physical therapy: more time, more clarity, more individual attention, and a better path back to activity.

Our Story

VIP PT was created to offer something many patients feel is missing from traditional rehab: one-on-one, personalized physical therapy built around the person in front of you. The goal is simple. Help people understand what is happening, make a plan that fits real life, and guide them back to activity with skill and honesty.

That philosophy still drives the practice. VIP PT is not built around rushing patients through crowded sessions or relying on generic programs. It is built around time, relationship, movement expertise, and meaningful results.

Why VIP PT exists

Time

Good care takes time. People want to be heard, assessed thoroughly, educated clearly, and treated like their goals matter. VIP PT was built so the provider can stay present for the full visit and help patients make smarter decisions about recovery and performance.

Results

People do not come to physical therapy just to check a box. They come because they want to move better, hurt less, return to sport, improve confidence, and get back to the things that make them feel like themselves. VIP PT is designed around that outcome-focused mindset.

Time

Patients deserve to know what they are paying for and why it matters. VIP PT emphasizes transparent pricing, useful treatment, individualized care, and practical guidance that extends beyond the treatment table.

Founder of VIP PT

Meet Michael Smith, PT, DPT, MTC, CMTPT, TPI

Michael Smith is a doctor of physical therapy with a background in outpatient orthopedics, sports injuries, post-surgical rehab, spinal conditions, and performance-minded care. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Towson University in 2009 and his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine in 2012.

He later completed a manual therapy certification and has continued to build his clinical skill set through advanced education in orthopedic care, sports rehab, and hands-on treatment. His qualifications also include trigger point dry needling training and blood flow restriction education. For golfers, he uses TPI informed movement principles to connect body limitations, recovery needs, and performance goals.

What that means for patients

Credentials matter most when they improve the patient experience. At VIP PT, that background shows up in practical ways:

  • Thorough assessments instead of guesswork
  • One-on-one care instead of divided attention
  • Treatment plans that connect symptoms to movement and activity
  • Golf-specific insight for players whose pain and performance are tied together
  • A more direct, transparent, and collaborative care experience

Who VIP PT is built for

VIP PT is a strong fit for:

  • Active adults who do not want pain to quietly shrink their lifestyle
  • Athletes who want a more strategic return to sport
  • Golfers who want physical therapy and performance guidance that actually reflects the demands of their game
  • Patients who value time, explanations, and individualized planning
  • People who prefer a transparent cash-pay model instead of surprise billing

Testimonials

Patient experience and trust

VIP PT is intentionally small and relationship-driven. Patients are looking for more than an exercise handout. They want to know who they are working with, why the plan makes sense, and whether the clinician understands the demands they are trying to get back to.
