Your first evaluation: 90 minutes, one-on-one

Most clinics give you 30 to 45 minutes and split it with another patient. Your evaluation here is 90 minutes with Dr. Smith. That time is used to answer four questions:
You leave with a clear explanation, a plan, and things to start doing the same day.

How treatment works

Your plan is adjusted every visit based on how you respond. It may include:

What one-on-one care changes

Dry needling

Dry needling uses a thin monofilament needle to release trigger points and reduce muscular tension that is limiting movement or driving pain. It is not acupuncture. It is a targeted tool used inside your physical therapy plan when muscular tension is part of the problem.
Dr. Smith is a Certified Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist (CMTPT). Dry needling is included in your visit when it is clinically appropriate. It is not billed as a separate service.

Common uses :

neck and upper trap tension, low back and hip tightness, golfer’s and tennis elbow, calf and hamstring tightness, stubborn movement restrictions.

Why patients choose VIP PT for physical therapy

People choose VIP PT because they want individualized care, not a rushed experience. They want to work directly with a doctor of physical therapy, understand the “why” behind their plan, and feel like the treatment actually connects to real life.

GOT A QUESTION?

Physical therapy questions

Do I need a diagnosis or imaging before I book?

No. Maryland allows you to see a physical therapist directly. If you plan to submit a superbill, check whether your insurance plan requires a referral for reimbursement.
Yes, when they help. They are delivered through our app with video so you know exactly what to do.
That depends on the problem, your goals, and how you respond. You will get an honest estimate after the evaluation, and we will tell you if the plan needs to change.
Yes, including ACL, rotator cuff, meniscus, joint replacement, and spine surgery recovery. We coordinate with your surgeon’s protocol.
